The Restorative Couch
Minneh Kimunya, seated in her consulting room

Evidence-based therapy for adults, couples and teenagers · Nairobi and online

Come back to yourself.

You are not broken, so this is not about being fixed. It is a room where you can slow down, understand what you have been carrying, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that got buried under the stress, the expectations, and everything you have been holding together for everyone else.

You do not have to wait until you are falling apart to deserve support.

Who
Adults, couples and young people aged 14 and over. Come on your own, or together.
How
Psychological science held with human care. Warm, collaborative, culturally grounded.

Clients come to me when:

Functioning on the outside and overwhelmed on the inside counts. So does not being sure which of these it is.

Your first Consultation

Find the time that fits your week. First sessions are booked ahead rather than squeezed in, and nothing is confirmed until the practical things have been said out loud.

How it works

  1. You book your first Consultation, or you write first. Your name, your email, and a time. There is no questionnaire to fill in before you have even met her.

  2. The first session is for understanding, not diagnosis. What you are carrying, what you want to be different, and whether this is the right room for it.

  3. The practical things are agreed out loud. Weekly or fortnightly, in the room or online, and what the arrangement looks like. Nothing is assumed on your behalf.

  4. Then it is the work, at your pace. You should leave with more than the feeling of having been heard: self-understanding, and things you can actually use.
